Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar Moview Review: Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha’s romantic comedy impresses
Mumbai. ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’, ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2’, and ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’ have been films that attracted a young audience. As a director, Luv Ranjan has got hold of such films and in this episode, this week he has brought ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’.
This time they brought the fresh pair of Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in front of the audience with love and comedy. Come, let’s try to know how many colors this film, released on the occasion of Holi, will be able to mix entertainment.
Story: The story of the film begins with comedy, love, and fun. In the beginning, Mickey Ranbir Kapoor and Dabas Anubhav Singh Bassi are seen getting a breakup done. Mickey is a boy from a big family and Dabas is his best friend.
Along with handling the business, Mickey also does the work of breaking up couples and Dabas supports him in this. During the wedding event of Dabas, Mickey meets Tiny Shraddha Kapoor and then the car of love starts from here. The story revolves around when Tiny plans a breakup and unknowingly calls Mickey for it.
Direction: The first half is full of fun, a skin show, comedy, and dance songs. After this, in the second half, the film dives into the emotional world. The story progresses with some twists and turns. Talking about direction, Luv Ranjan caught the pulse of the youth through his early films.
But it seems they have stuck to the fixed pattern. Looking at ‘Tu Jhoothi…’, one remembers his Karthik Aryan starrer films. The characters are different but the style of telling the story is the same.
Acting: Talking about acting, Ranbir Kapoor is successful in doing justice to each of his characters. His hard work is visible on the screen. As a lover boy, he freezes on the screen. On the other hand, Shraddha Kapoor, who appeared after a long gap, attracts with her glam style. The whistles in the hall also ring on the bikini look.
Anubhav Singh Bassi has appeared in his standup style only. Boney Kapoor and Dimple’s style is also fine in the film. At the same time, Karthik Aryan and Nusrat Bharucha are also seen as a surprise element.
editing: This love drama woven with a modern approach is a bit scattered. The flow of the story is not such that the audience can feel connected till the end. Editing of the film is loose, Akiv Ali and Chetan Solanki could have brought more tightness in the film. The songs of the film are fine, in which fun is seen.
The songs have already found a place in chartbusters. An attempt has also been made to raise some issues in the film, but they seem unnecessarily cramped.
View or not: If you are a fan of Shraddha Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor then you can go watch this rom-com. If you want to pass the time on Holi weekend, you can try this film by Luv Ranjan.
