On 19 September 2023, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar inaugurated the Farmer Loan Portal.

Kisan Rin Portal 2023
To provide easy subsidized loans to the farmers of the country, a new portal has been launched named Kisan Loan Portal. This portal has been launched by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on 19 September 2023.
Through the Kisan Rin Portal, farmers will get help in getting subsidized loans under the Kisan Credit Card. Through this portal, banks will deliver loans to the homes of farmers. This loan will be made available under the Kisan Credit Card.

The main objective of launching the Farmer Loan Portal by the Central Government is to help the farmers to easily get subsidized loans.
Farmers can easily get complete information about loan allocation, interest rebate claims, and scheme utilization through the Kisan Loan Portal sitting at home. Through this portal, banks will deliver loans to the homes of farmers.

According to the Agriculture Ministry, the Kisan Loan Digital Platform provides a comprehensive view of the progress of Kisan Loan delivery features, interest subvention claims, and scheme utilization which promotes seamless integration with banks for more focused and efficient agricultural lending. The campaign will run from house to house
The government will now run a door-to-door campaign to further increase the benefits of Kisan Credit Card. For which a manual of the Door to Door KCC campaign and Weather Information Network Data System Portal has also been presented in the program to be organized in the Pusa campus.
Under this campaign, farmers and other farmers who are beneficiaries of PM Kisan Yojana will be linked to Kisan Credit Card. Loans and farming-related financial services are provided to the farmers through the Kisan Credit Card Scheme to help the farmers get financial security and loans.

In a statement from the Central Government, it has been said that till March 30, there are about 7.35 crore Kisan Credit Card account holders across the country. Whose total sanctioned fund limit is Rs 8.85 lakh crore.
According to government data, agricultural loans worth Rs 6,573.50 crore have been distributed at low-interest rates during April-August in the current financial year. So that other farmers can also get the benefits of the Kisan Credit Card, non-selected KCC holders have been identified under the PM Kisan Yojana.
